Hello, Hola, Welcome,

Come inside, don’t be scared. Nothing much to see here just yet. You have just stumbled upon my first blog post for my very first attempt at blogging. An exciting time and bear with me while I get my bearings and organise my blogging lifestyle.

So first off, my name is Sam and I have just had the wonderful introduction to Fatherhood. My Son burst into this world on the 12th May 2020 and it was the happiest day of my life. Well, he was more dragged into this world than bursting into it, hopefully not a trait he will take on into childhood.

We named our little cherub Hendrix and he is the reason I have started this blog. To chronicle his journey through life and my attempts at grasping how to be a Dad along the way. No holds barred, covering the happy moments and the frustrating ones in equal measure. There will also be advice from my experiences thrown in and hopefully you can learn from them and mostly from my mistakes.

Every man goes into being a father with no idea whats in store. There is no training, there is nothing for you to draw upon. Our only experience is from how we were brought up and even then its either a love it or hate it scenario. Also most of the information out there is for Mothers and written by Mothers whereas Dads are more or less put to the side. No more, our time is now, its time to take parenting back for the Dads.

So hold your breath, wipe those poo stains off your fingers and step inside to the world of this Dad. To laugh along at my misfortune and mishandling in the day to day raising of my Son.

At the end of the day, its just a Dad’s life really.
